Outstanding Support Service

Concero Education Technology

Concero Education Technology isn’t your average IT crowd – because we weren’t born in a boardroom, we were created in a school. From the very beginning, our approach has been people-first: solving real classroom problems, building staff confidence, and ensuring technology always supports learning.

Today, that ethos has grown into a trusted national service, recognised by the Department for Education and Crown Commercial Services, and strengthened through partnerships with NAHT, nasen, PiXL, Microsoft and Google. We don’t just provide IT support – we act as a school’s EdTech department or extend their in-house team, offering the breadth of skills and expertise needed in modern education.

• Crowcroft Park Primary: recovered from a crippling cyber-attack to achieve a bold cloud-first vision.
• St Nicholas Primary: shifted from risk to resilience by treating cyber security as a leadership responsibility.
• Wulfruna Trust: four schools began their journey together on equal ground with a single, secure tenancy.

By October 2025, every Concero school was on Windows 11 and fully cloud-based. Combined with innovations like Cyber Eyesight Reports and Fast Track to Cloud, our focus is clear: to keep schools safe, secure, and compliant so that education can flourish.

SCG Together

Schools are facing unprecedented safeguarding pressures, with rising case volumes, increasing complexity and heightened expectations. However, exploring and evaluating emerging technology can be time-consuming, and existing solutions are often difficult to integrate or don’t reflect how safeguarding works in practice.

To address this, SCG launched a structured national outreach, research and co-development programme to understand the real communication and safeguarding challenges schools face. Building on our long history in education and the success of our Evonex Cloud telephony platform, now used in over 1,000 education establishments, we set out to gather first-hand insight directly from staff.

An initial webinar series opened conversations with senior leaders. This guided Evonex development around MIS and CPOMS software integrations, generating features such as screen-pop enhancements, easier record access, court order notifications and incident reporting. A second, deeper research phase followed, consisting of a comprehensive interview programme involving 30 schools. This uncovered consistent themes around inefficient manual processes, fragmented systems and demand for better safeguarding integrations.

These findings now underpin a development roadmap and pilot programme that will bring new safeguarding-focused communication features into Evonex, ensuring schools are equipped with tools shaped by their real-world needs.

SMARTcurriculum Analytics

SMARTcurriculum Analytics provides indispensable support to schools by bringing curriculum, staffing and finance data together in one clear evidence base. At a time of rising costs, recruitment challenges and workload pressures, leaders often lack the tools or capacity to understand how curriculum decisions affect workforce needs and long term financial sustainability. SMARTcurriculum Analytics meets this need through secure data automation combined with expert interpretation, giving leaders clarity and confidence in their staffing and curriculum planning.

The service delivers a high quality, human led experience, with each school supported by the same expert coordinator throughout. Leaders describe the process as “transformational” and “a genuine light bulb moment”, highlighting the supportive, dialogic approach and depth of insight provided. Schools consistently report improved financial resilience, more sustainable staffing structures, better curriculum planning, and more effective governance conversations.

Impact is both measurable and sustained: participating schools typically identify hundreds of thousands of pounds in potential efficiencies, frequently achieving returns of 20×–100× the licence cost. These savings can be reinvested in improving the quality of education for learners.

With its blend of robust analytics, expert human guidance and exceptional customer service, SMARTcurriculum Analytics provides reliable, high value support that enables educational institutions to thrive.
